Notes

This is a second version of my original Magical Mushroom Lanyard pattern. Unfortunately, I wrote that pattern not expecting many people to use it and it was more difficult than it should have been.

For this pattern set, I will be using more common stitches and hopefully writing it in a way that is easy for people to read, use, and change.

All caps will be made with single crochet stitches with rounds ending with a slip stitch and starting with a chain one. Caps are worked top down, bodies are worked from the bottom up.

Each body style features a different stitch and includes directions for a variety of sizes from chapstick to Geek Bars.

Chain Lanyard

Using desired color, make a slip knot with a long tail.

Chain desired amount of stitches.

Cut Long tail and pull tail through last chain.

Use this tail to stitch to the inside of the body.

Feed the lanyard through the cap, keeping it from twisting.

Use the tail from the other side of the lanyard to slip stitch to the inside of the body on the opposite side.

Decoration

There’s a million ways to add some decor to this mushroom! For this one, I just used the stem color secured on the inside of the cap. Each dot was two stitches. Once I was done, I tied another knot on the inside and weaved in the end.
